1. Q1, Surfers Paradise
Australia’s largest building is most definitely qualified to deliver spectacular views! The main attraction is the SkyPoint Observation Deck locates on level 21 a huge 230 metres high, you can enjoy the unsurpassed 360 degree views of the ocean and hinterland along with a drink from the bar or snack. It's quite possibly the most famous Gold Coast Restaurant with a view. This unusual sight is a large “elephant” shaped boulder perched on the beachfront with a lookout platform on top promising some incredible views.Luckily for visitors there is no cliff scaling necessary, there is a short, but quite steep, stair case leading visitors to the top.
Nestled next door is the Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Live Saving Club which is a great place to stop for a bite to eat while continuing to enjoy beautiful views.

Eagle Heights Resort is perched on what looks like the edge of the world with uninterrupted sprawling views across the entire Gold Coast.This paired with an excellent restaurant with seating both indoor and outdoors, lovely gardens to walk through, live music and kids jumping castles on Sundays and you’ve got yourself an incredible experience.
Golf Course Road, Magnetic Drive, Licuala Drive and Guanaba Road are also fantastic vantage points for a break taking sunset or sunrise.

Breathtaking views paired with good food is one thing. But a Gold Coast restaurant with a view that is ever-changing with a tantalising buffet? That is another story altogether! Yet this is what Queensland’s only revolving restaurant promises.The Australian fusion and seafood menu boasts an impressive variety from fresh ocean prawns, marinated black mussels, and Balmain bugs to BBQ chicken wings, gyozas, crispy pork belly. Of course there are plenty of dessert options from cheeseboards to cake, mousse, slice, ice cream and more!
You can enjoy the views over lunch or dinner all week with prices starting at $65 for adults or opt for a high tea and coffee from $39 or high tea and Chandon from $49 per person.

Not only is snapper rocks one of the most famous surf breaks in Australia, but it is home to some pretty amazing views. Snapper Rocks road will take you to Apex Park, which looks out over the Pacific Ocean. Dolphins are commonly seen from this vantage point and during whale season, this is spot to be!Just south of this lookout is the Captain Cook Memorial and the Queensland and New South Wales state borders, which is a great spot for a photo.
Below Apex Park is one of the Southern Gold Coast’s hidden gems – Froggy Beach. This little slice of heaven is less busy than the other beaches, but just as spectacular. Fun Fact: it is named Froggy Beach after a rock was painted bright green and given a face. See if you can spot it when you visit!

Situated at the southern end of Miami Beach is a rugged outcrop with a staircase that takes visitors straight to the top of the cliff face to the Mick Schamburg look out boasting incredible views over the ocean where you can see whales and dolphins.The spot is popular among locals and famous for its rainbow colouring, which was bestowed upon the staircase by an unknown artist. The council had painted over them several times, but each time the stairs have been rainbow by sunrise the next morning with the city council approving the local artwork retrospectively, so it’s now here to stay for you to enjoy when you visit!

The best of all lookout is the reward given to visitors who take the short .6km grade 2 walk in Springbrook National Park. The track takes you through luscious rainforest down a short hill, with figs, staghorn and moss covered rocks lining your way. The track ends with a boarded lookout with incredible views to the Pacific Ocean, Byron Bay, Tweed, and Mount Warning.This just one of several walks in Springbrook National Park, we highly recommend you also pop by Natural Arch, which is a slightly longer but is still managable for younger children that takes you into a waterfall that drops into a cave with a boardwalk.
